sign up. no, really

If you like you can get a very irregular newsletter from me, by signing up here

This means an email every few months summing up whatever’s been posted here, as well as occasional stories or surprises that won’t appear elsewhere online.

You should sign up for it.

See, you think you’ll come back here periodically to see what’s going on with me, but you won’t remember.

Now you’re bookmarking the page, thinking you’ll prove me wrong. But you know you never look in your bookmarks folder.

Even if we know each other in real life you won’t remember.

You’ll only think of me again three years from now when you see a link somewhere next to my name, and then you’ll come back here and see how everything (everything!) has changed, forever, and you missed it all.

If you sign up instead you’ll get (very sporadic; I never remember either) updates, short stories and news direct to your inbox. It’ll be something to read when you’re stuck on a train outside Swindon.

On balance, I don’t think you’ll regret it.
